A central air filtration system that reconditions the air to preserve indoor temperatures and air quality is referred to as an air handling unit (AHU) or air handler. It’s usually put together with a metal frame made of galvanised steel, aluminium, or other alloys, and it has double-walled panels for energy efficiency. Multiple ventilators for air supply and exhaust, heating and cooling coils, air filter chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers are the main components. It’s linked to a complicated duct system inside the building that transports conditioned air across the floors and back to the core for reconditioning.
The growing demand for energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems around the world is driving the global market for AHUs. This is due to the extensive use of central air conditioning and heating systems in medium to large residential, commercial, and industrial complexes as a result of global industrialization and urbanization. Increased consumer awareness of the benefits of maintaining proper indoor air quality is also helping to propel the industry forward. Toxic air pollutants, such as those that cause chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), ischemic heart disease, asthma, and lung cancer, can be filtered out by AHUs.
Therefore, choosing the right Air handling solution provider plays a crucial role. In the latest edition of Construction Tech Review APAC 2022, we bring to you “Top 10 Air Handling Solutions Providers - 2022.”
